Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the program cost?

There is a minimal monthly fee of $15 per child. However, there are many scholarships available and financial assistance for eligible families. Please don't hesitate to inquire about these opportunities as we strive to ensure that NDUEC is available to every child who can benefit from its program.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes there is a waiting list for admission to the program, so you are encouraged to register your child as early as possible. We make every effort to accommodate as many children as possible throughout the school year, so children are frequently admitted off of the waiting list.

Can a child start the program anytime?

Yes they can, as long as space is available.

What are the program hours?

During the school year, the program runs Monday through Thursday from 3:10 to 5:45. Children begin arriving at the Center around 2:30 and enjoy a healthy snack until program begins.  Fall 2017 starts Monday, September 11th.

Does a child have to come everyday all school year?

Ordinarily, the children are expected to attend each day, as regular attendance maximizes the benefits of the program for the child. However, under certain circumstances, other arrangements may be able to be made.

How will my child get to and from the Center?

Transportation to and from the Center is the responsibility of the family. Frequently, families from the same school or neighborhood carpool.

Can I take a tour of the center or get more information before making a decision?

We welcome and encourage families to schedule a tour of the Center so that you can meet the staff and see first hand all that NDUEC has to offer. We just ask that you call first to schedule an appointment so that we are sure to be fully available for your visit.
