I am interested in volunteering at the Notre Dame Urban Education Center!

How do I begin?

The Notre Dame Urban Education Center exists to offer transformative educational programs to individuals and families. This could not be accomplished without the dedicated service of our volunteers. NDUEC offers a wide range of opportunities for ongoing service as well as one-time commitments.

Browse the list of Volunteer Opportunities for positions that might be of interest to you.

Complete the brief Volunteer Interest Form below. The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to talk about your interests, skills and the available opportunities that might best fit your talents and schedule. If you prefer, you can contact Mary Gray, Volunteer Coordinator, directly at 859-261-4487 or by email at nduecvolunteer@sndky.org to discuss what opportunity is best for you.

Please know that NDUEC has certain requirements that must by met by all volunteers. These include:

  • Compliance with agency policies of confidentiality. Student and family information must be held in strictest confidence at all times.
  • Police record and child abuse record screenings.
  • Completion of the program on sexual abuse of minors called "Protecting God's Children" as well as ongoing training through Virtus online.

Most of our volunteers receive more than they give including the many benefits of making a difference in the community, meeting new friends, and learning new skills. But the greatest reward is the opportunity for personal development and self-fulfillment.

You are invited to become an NDUEC Volunteer!
